What's on?

For lively Irish music and social dancing, most Sunday nights at Southmead Community Centre, 248 Greystoke Avenue, Southmead, Bristol BS10 6BQ, from 8 pm. (6 times a year, no class because we are running workshop/ ceili in Wotton under Edge on 2nd Sunday of month. Occasionally other Sundays may be cancelled - ring Sharon on 07745 376 499 to check)

Come and learn Irish Set Dancing!

New people are always welcome at our classes. You will find the dancers very helpful and supportive, so no previous experience is necessary. You don't need to bring a partner, there will always be people available to dance with. Come and join us for a fun-filled dance experience!

Bath Festival

There will be a set dancing class (11.30-12.30) and a dance (3.30 - 6pm) on Sunday 19th August, as part of the Bath Festival. These will take place at The Gateway Centre, Bath BA1 6DH, and will be led by Val and Maddy Knight. The band is Gorias.

"Summer break"

Please note, there will be no classes in Southmead, Bristol, on 3rd, 10th or 17th June, due to too many people being away. Hopefully fine for the rest of the summer though!

For the same reason, no classes for people with Parkinson's at the Vassall Centre, Bristol, on 30th May, or 6th, 13th or 20th June.

Not long now - Bristol Set Dancing weekend is from Fri 11 - Sun 13 May 2018, at Southmead Community Centre (address above)  (click on "Contact/ find us" above for directions and local accommodation). 3 ceilis with the fantastic Perfect Cure Ceili Band, and 3 workshops with Gerard Butler, renowned dance teacher from Ireland.

FRIDAY 11th  MAY 2018

8 – 11.30 pm   Ceili with The Perfect Cure.

(Special “short sets” ceili to allow people to dance with more partners!)





SATURDAY 12th MAY 2018

10.30 am –1 pm and 2– 4.30 pm   Set dance workshops with Gerard Butler.

Tea/ coffee at 11.30 and 3 pm.

Lunch available at the Community Centre



8 – 11.30 pm   Ceili with The Perfect Cure. (and raffle)



SUNDAY 13th MAY 2018

12 noon – 1 pm   Sean Nos workshop with Gerard Butler.

Lunch available at the Community Centre



2 – 5.30 pm   Ceili with The Perfect Cure. (and raffle)



Ceilis £10, set dance workshops £6 each, sean nos workshop £3, or full weekend ticket £40.
